If you want to apply for a new intangible cultural heritage (ICH) element\/value for the intangible cultural heritage list, you must first create your own profile, i.e. authorized as a user on the \u201cnematerialakultura.lv\u201d page by using Latvija.lv or any of the internetbanks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fill in all the required information about yourself. If necessary, additional contact details shall also be indicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The infomation entered is saved every time<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can then start creating an application by pressing \u201clogin a new item\u201d, or view your existing applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entries in the questionnaire sections requested information. Do not exit the page before you press the \u201cSave\u201d icon in the upper corner of the page. This also applies to each next page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If an element is associated with a specific geographic location, the entries in A.4. If there is no specific location, explain it in the next section. You can also write any other explanation (for example, that the element has historically been associated with a particular municipality\/site, but later spread outside the region, etc.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, describe what has been done so far and what impact it has left to the preservation of the element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can download all the attachments required for the application \u2013 pictures, videos, sounds, text \u2013 and at the time you want to add one of them, press \u201cmedia library\u201d (in the upper left corner of the page) where you'll find all the downloaded materials:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When an image (video, audio file) is added to a form, the articles contain its name and description, following the instructions in the questionnaire box and the pop-up \u201cinfo\u201d box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not less than 6 and not more than 12 for images<\/strong> jpg, jpeg or png format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adds an element characterising video<\/strong> \u2013 not less than one and no more than 10 video files (not longer than 5 minutes) in mp4 format. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If necessary, the following shall be added: audio<\/strong> examples in mp3 format (up to 5 files) and text <\/strong>fragments in Doc, docx, or pdf format (up to 12 files).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adds an author's attestation to each photo, video, sound, and text file. The certificate form is found in: (Form<\/a><\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appended to application that<\/span>as well as in photos and videos visible<\/span> personal evidence of consent to the processing of personal data. The certificate form is found in: (Form<\/a><\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inscriptions where the materials used to prepare the application are stored (photo, video, audio etc.):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* the filing date of the application shall be fixed. You will no longer be able to edit this application before it is allowed by the page administrator. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

* If the Council of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) decides to include this element in the ICH list, the text of the application will be further edited prior to publication on the ICH website. This editing will be carried out in consultation with the author;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When submitting an application, please note that the decision by the Council of ICH to include an element in the ICH List entails an obligation to submit a report every five years\u2014using the form available on the website\u2014detailing work undertaken and planned for the element's preservation and promotion. These reports are reviewed by the Council of ICH, which may decide to remove the element from the List if preservation efforts are not being carried out and\/or if such efforts cannot be verified based on the submitted reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
