Welcome to THE LIVIND discovery vebinary on 29 November 2021 at 14.00 \u2013 17.00!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this vebinary, we start a series of online event projects called LIVIND (Creative and Living Heritage as Resource for the Northern dimension Region<\/em>). This project is being launched to strengthen the role of intangible cultural heritage as a resource for the sustainable development of the local community. The project runs from 2021 to 2023, combining ten Nordic and Northern Autonomous Areas, as well as salami land. It is the first project of such coverage in Northern Europe in the field of live heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The introductory guidebook will learn more about THE LIVIND project itself, as well as a number of examples from the northern region that demonstrate the link between living heritage and sustainable development. In workshops you can choose a topic that interests you most and share your experience with colleagues from your region. In 2022, the next LIVIND project vebbars and workshops will follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in the vebinary is free and accessible to anyone. We call for both cultural heritage masters and non-governmental organisations, museum workers, librarians, teachers, teachers, researchers, municipal and public institutions, artists and all interested in intangible cultural heritage! We want to bring together a wide range of people who, in their own area and in their own way, are working with cultural heritage, including traditional posts, knowledge of nature, oral tradition, festivals, traditional kitchen etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PROJECT LIVIND is closely linked to the United Nations \u201cSustainable Development 2030\u201d, focusing on living heritage and its conservation methods. The project also includes research that will result in an analysis of the situation and recommendations on how to better support future work with cultural heritage. The results of the project will be available to all online platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On THE LIVIND project in short:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Member States and regions: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, \u00c5land, Greenland, Faroe Islands, Sami Region, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Russia.
Latvian National Culture Council and Latvian Cultural Academy (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Policy and Rights Cathedral) participate in the Latvian project. Budget: EUR 254 000, of which approximately 80% is financed by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs from funds planned to strengthen cooperation in the Baltic Sea, Barents and Arctic regions. The project is also funded by the Finnish cultural heritage agency and the Northern Dimension cultural partnership. Among the partners is the Northern Dimension Institute and the Sami Council. The project is managed by the Finnish cultural heritage agency, while the Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland is the responsible Ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latvian national cultural centre, Latvian cultural academy and interdisciplinary art group \u201cserde\u201d, one of two UNESCO accredited NGOs from across the Baltic, have been involved as partners in the Latvian project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
