This year, eight new applications have been submitted to the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List of Latvia, which are evaluated, The Intangible Cultural Heritage Council seven applications were directed for further clarification.
The applications are currently being evaluated by experts who will provide their comments and recommendations, which will still be possible. The Council will adopt a final decision on the inclusion of new intangible cultural heritage values in the national list at the end of September.
