The Latvian National Cultural Centre has prepared and submitted two periodic reports TO UNESCO on 10 January:
- Report on the implementation of the Convention on the Conservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Latvia from 2018 until 2021
- A report on the status of the element included in the intangible cultural heritage to be provided with immediate preservation.
Latvia's UNESCO Convention on the Conservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage was ratified in 2006. The Member States of the Convention shall provide such reports on a regular basis: first every six, second every four years.
The report on the implementation of the Convention in Latvia, including the songs and dance festivals included in the representative list of UNESCO mankind intangible cultural heritage, was prepared by the Latvian National Cultural Heritage expert Gita Lancere, the Latvian university literature, folklore and art institute Latvian folklore store manager, leading researcher Rita Greenland, and Latvian cultural academy researcher Ieva wiltola. The report covers the period from the beginning of 2018 to 30 June 2021. '
The report on the suiti cultural area, which is included in the list of UNESCO intangible cultural heritage, which should ensure immediate preservation, was prepared by the docent of the Latvian Academy of Culture and the leading researcher, Anita Vaivade, head of THE Latvian cultural academy UNESCO Cathedral, in close cooperation with the suiti Community itself.
