In order to promote the perpetration and wear of the Latvian countryside of traditions, to encourage interest in his or her own countryside, the possibilities of assembly in accordance with historical development, as well as in preparation FOR XXVII's general Latvian song and XVII dance festival, Cēsis municipality, in cooperation with the Latvian National Cultural Centre, organizes the Voldemar Cruel Remembrance Prize for Latvian People's Scout Exhibition – contest.
The exhibition will be held from 16 July 2022 at 17.00 until 21 August 2022 15.00 In Vecpiebalga Cultural House, Light Street 1, Vecpiebalgs.
The competition will be held within the exhibition and the results will be announced during the opening of the exhibition.
A participant in a competition may be a natural or legal person, as well as a group of persons who by 1 July 2022 shall submit a tender application questionnaire and two to three photographs of the Latvian countryside to be submitted to the competition in digital format with good resolution, which reflects as much as possible the overall view and details of the countryside.
A participant in a competition may apply for a group of people in one of the following categories:
- self-made foliage – at least 80% coats are self-made (woven, stitched, embroidered, dried, plaited, etc.);
- the completed countryside – the components of the garment have been made by different masters;
- succession of successive generations (made before 1940);
- Best Piebalgs Municipality.
It is not possible to apply for a costume kit, which has received a prize place in previous competitions, which have occurred during the Old Piebalgs or Song Festival.

In the event of an exhibition, the Latvian countryside shall be evaluated specially by the Commission in accordance with the following criteria:
- conformance with the cultural historical outlet and the specific time period (archaeological outfit, early 19 th century, mid-or final phase, early 20 th century);
- the quality of the pedestrian transaction – technical performance, the conformity of the materials with the historical truth;
- general view of the countryside.
