Since 2020, the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List of Latvia includes a written double glove business skill in Mazsalaca. In order to promote the preservation of these gloves and the preservation of the technique, this summer Mazsalaca invites all double-glove-knives to form a joint exhibition.
The exhibition will be held from 15 July 2022 at 18.00 until August 26, 2022 15.00 Mazsalacas cultural center, Roojienas Street 1, Mazsalaca.
In the exhibition with his works – knitted gloves in double-tailing technique – invited to participate in every advocate by submitting his or her works to the exhibition by 4 July 2022 At the National Cultural Centre of Latvia in Riga, Palace Area 4 or Mazsalaca cultural centre at Roojienas Street 1, Mazsalaca.
The works must be submitted together with a completed questionnaire of the exhibition participant. APPLICATION QUESTIONNAIRE
In parallel to the exhibition at Mazsalaca cultural centre, a practical seminar on double gloves on 15 and 16 July 2022 will also be held. Information will follow.
