The national cultural Centre of Latvia invites interested parties to apply for traditional singing courses, which will take place from 21 May to 15 June 2024. During the course, both theoretical and practical lessons are planned at four traditional singing instructors – Zane Schmidt, Iveta Tal, Aida Ranzane and Edgar Lipora.
As part of the courses, there will be an opportunity to participate in both face-to-face workshops and remote theory classes. In-person classes will take place in the Grand Hall of the national cultural Centre of Latvia, as well as an attempt will be made to use the lesson when singing outside.
Volume: 24 academic hours. Course fees for all classes: EUR 84. You can apply for all or only individual classes.

We inform you that as of 15.04, the application for participation in any one of the in-person classes will be kept on the waiting list because the maximum number of participants has now been reached. If someone refuses to participate, the leads will be reported on a first come, first served basis.
21, 23 and 26 May
A cycle of theoretical and practical lessons at Zane Schmidt's “Pate's throat organ, Pate's mouth cheered.” How is the sound produced by the vocal cords made in the human vocal tract – the throat and mouth? How do you deliberately make a powerful voice? Theoretical lessons will look at the structure of the vocal tract and mapping of its components, and in practice the application of newly acquired skills to outdoor singing.
