The National Cultural Capital Foundation has announced the “development and sustainability of intangible cultural heritage values”. Submission of applications will take place until 21 April 2023. 23:59.
The objectives of the target programme shall be:
1. to support an element of intangible cultural heritage included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List (www.nematerialakultura.lv) sustainability and development by strengthening the capacity of the Community organisations;
2. to support the development of the tradition of songs and dance festivals, promoting the creation of amateur art collections of the collective repertoire of song and dance festivals – the creation of choir, dance collective blowers orchestra and timber companies – creativity and the emergence of a new cultural offer within the tradition outside the traditional interfestive period.
This year, the total funding of the target programme (from eur 400.000 to eur 450.000) has been increased, providing that joint repertoire-sector amateur art collectors should also be eligible for participation in international tenders.
The programme, in which support for participation in international competitions was provided by the industry, was financed from the “Latvian State Forests” donation funds in previous years; a separate target programme will no longer be advertised for this purpose.
