Turning to the richness of the ancient layers of Latvian traditional music, the Latvian National Centre for Culture has prepared a methodological material in electronic format “Latvian Traditional Recitatives. A Practical Handbook '. Edition is prepared by ethnomusicologists Ieva Tihovska, Zane Smite and Ilze Cepurniece.


The Latvian storyteller association, in collaboration with LNKC and UNESCO LNK, has prepared e-publication “the stories of places, cases and people. Narrative traditions in Latvian culture, which summarize the materials of the 2018 III Latvian storyteller conference.


Projektā “Dziedāšanas mantojums Latgalē” (Nr. LKP2025/40) biedrība “Iniciatīvu un kompetenču atbalsta centrs” sadarbībā ar Daugavpils Vienības nama Tradīciju māju ar Valsts kultūrkapitāla fonda mērķprogrammas “Latviešu vēsturisko zemju attīstības programma” un biedrības “Latgales reģiona attīstības aģentūra” piešķirto atbalstu pievērsās spilgtāko dziedāšanas tradīciju Latgalē izzināšanai. Tās apkopoja muzikologs, profesors Mārtiņš Boiko pārskatā “Par vairākām iezīmīgām latgaliešu tradicionālās mūzikas praksēm” .

Within the framework of the project “Singing Heritage in Latgale” (No. LKP2025/40), the association Initiative and Competence Support Center, in cooperation with the Daugavpils Unity House Tradition House and with support from the State Cultural Capital Fund’s target program “Latvian Historical Lands Development Program” and the Latgale Region Development Agency, focused on highlighting some of the most notable singing traditions in Latgale. These traditions were outlined and described by musicologist and professor M. Boiko in the review On Several Distinctive Practices of Latgalian Traditional Music.”
